Mungrisdale

Mungrisdale is an unspoilt lakeland village comprising a 17th century Inn and church together with a cluster of farms and shady sycamores, against a background of blue/grey crags and soft mountain slopes.

From the seclusion of this little known beauty spot the whole of the Lake District can be easily explored and many other areas are accessible as day trips, such as the Solway Coast, Scottish Border Country, Hadrian's Wall, the Yorkshire Dales and Pennines.

Within the immediate vicinity there are a wide range of activities available including fell-walking, rock climbing, pony trekking, bird watching, sailing, fishing, hang-gliding, golf (3. miles), and a great many places of historic interest to be visited. In addition this area is of outstanding geological interest.
